Hands-on chiropractic practice

Room in the spine for the rest of your life.

We work in the margins — the last few degrees of movement you quietly lose to desks, driving, lifting and old injuries. Careful assessment, unhurried adjustment, and a short home plan you will actually keep up.

  • Back & sciatic pain
  • Neck & headaches
  • Stiff joints
  • Return to sport

New patients welcome. A first visit runs about 45 minutes and always begins with a conversation, not a treatment table.

01 Approach

What a course of care looks like

Four steps, and you always know which one you are on.

Nothing happens to you without being explained first. If your problem is better suited to another practitioner, we will say so at the first visit.

  1. Listen

Twenty minutes on what hurts, when it started, what makes it worse and what your week actually asks of your body.

  2. Assess

Posture, gait and joint-by-joint movement testing, plus orthopaedic and neurological checks where they are relevant.

  3. Adjust

Precise, low-force adjustment combined with soft tissue work — firm where it helps, gentle where it needs to be.

  4. Rebuild

Two or three exercises at a time, reviewed at each visit, so the movement you gain on the table stays with you off it.

02 Care

What we treat

Most people arrive with one of these.

Every plan is built around your history rather than a package, and reviewed out loud every few visits.

  • Lower back & sciatica

Stubborn lumbar pain, morning stiffness and referred leg symptoms, worked through in stages rather than all at once.

  • Neck, jaw & headaches

Tension headaches, restricted rotation and jaw tightness that often travel together after long screen weeks.

  • Shoulders & upper back

Between-the-shoulder-blade ache, overhead restriction and the ribcage stiffness that quietly sits behind both.

  • Sport & overuse

Running, lifting and racquet complaints — loading is adjusted so you can keep training while things settle.

  • Pregnancy & postnatal

Side-lying, cushion-supported care for pelvic and low back discomfort, and a gradual return to strength afterwards.

  • Desk & driving posture

A practical review of how you sit and stand all day, with small changes that hold up outside the clinic room.

03 The clinic

Who you will see

One practitioner, one room, no conveyor belt.

Lime Margin is a single-chiropractor practice on purpose. You see the same person each visit, and appointments are spaced so nothing feels rushed.

Nadia Ellery, chiropractor

Nadia has spent a decade working mostly with people whose pain has become part of the routine — the sore Monday morning, the drive that has to be broken up, the run that never quite happens. Her approach is deliberately plain: explain the findings, treat what is treatable, and hand back as much of the work as you can safely do yourself.

  • Appointments booked in 30-minute blocks, 45 for a first visit
  • Ground-floor room with step-free access and a quiet waiting area
  • Adjustment, soft tissue and rehab in the same session — no add-ons
  • Written home plan emailed after every review

04 First visit

Before you come in

What the first forty-five minutes involve.

Most people are treated on day one. If we need imaging or a second opinion first, you will leave with a clear next step instead of a vague one.

  • Wear something you can move in — leggings or shorts and a t-shirt are ideal
  • Bring any scan reports or specialist letters you already have
  • Expect questions about sleep, work and training, not just the painful area
  • You choose how much clothing stays on; nothing is done without your say-so
  • You will leave with two or three exercises and an honest estimate of care

05 Questions

Asked at almost every first visit

The honest answers.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can request an appointment directly. If you are already under a GP, physiotherapist or consultant, bring their letter along and we will work alongside them rather than around them.

How many visits will I need?

You will get an estimate at the end of the first appointment, based on what the assessment shows. Many straightforward complaints settle within a handful of visits; longstanding ones take longer and are reviewed as we go. Care is never sold as a fixed block up front.

Does an adjustment hurt?

It should not. Some techniques make a popping sound, which is simply gas moving inside a joint. Soft tissue work can feel firm, and it is normal to be a little tender the next day. Anything that is uncomfortable can be swapped for a lower force option — just say so.

Is chiropractic suitable for older adults or children?

Techniques are chosen to suit the person in front of us, and gentler methods are used where joints are more fragile. If your situation calls for a different kind of care, we will tell you at the assessment rather than start treatment anyway.

What if I need to change my appointment?

Send a note through the form below and we will move it. We ask for a day's notice where you can manage it, so the slot can go to someone on the waiting list.

Tell us what hurts and when suits you.

Five short fields. We reply with two or three times that fit, and confirm nothing until you have picked one.

Please do not include sensitive medical detail here — we will take a full history at your appointment.

Requests are answered within one working day. Sending this does not confirm a booking until we have replied.
